About me

I am an instructional designer with nearly 20 years of experience in the field of learning technology. In this time, I've been able to work in a variety of roles on multiple cross-functional teams, gaining a breadth of skills that includes content creation, content strategy, cognitive learning science, workflow & organizational practices, and virtual facilitation & collaboration.

I'm passionate about producing content that makes sense and working with teams to innovate, educate, and delight our audiences.

MY MISSION

No matter the project or the industry, my mission as an ID is to develop a holistic understanding of the audience so that I can make sure all decisions are in service of their needs, while still meeting stakeholder objectives. I believe in selecting tools and strategies that address both audience and stakeholder requirements, without allowing the technology to overwhelm the true objective.

MY STORY

After a lifetime in the Boston area, I packed up and moved to Hurricane, Utah in 2019. I've always done some of my best thinking outdoors, and this little spot on the outskirts of Zion National Park has helped spark some great ideas.

In the summer of 2023 I pivoted once again, relocating to Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

When I'm not in my home office, I'm likely out climbing, hiking, paddling, running, or biking with my cattle dog mix and dedicated intern, Nova.
